Sam Kerr & Elisabeth Offenberger

We met at a coffee meetup for young people in Philadelphia looking to make friends. We spent a good chunk of the day hanging out and chatting. After a few weeks, and a lot of debating, Sam decided to reach out and see if Elisabeth wanted to go to another group event and see if they could become friends. After many, many miles walked outside and some, not so gentle, nudging Sam and Elisabeth realized they were both interested in more than just being friends. Elisabeth made the first move to start off 2022!

After Proposing the Proposal almost 6 months prior, on October 5th, 2024 Sam and Elisabeth got engaged! It started out as a nice day to themselves after a long and busy summer and their first international trip to London and Amsterdam. Sam and Elisabeth went to Longwood Gardens and took a nice walk, enjoying some quiet time together. They got lunch at one of their favorite spots, Agave, on their way home. Elisabeth was constantly suspicious of what was coming next as the evening began. They went to dinner at Burrata, to revisit another of their earlier memories together. Then, Sam offered that they needed dessert to round out the day and that they should get some ice cream from "the best spot around". Elisabeth was unaware that the day prior, Sam had snuck off to C&C Creamery for a special ice cream cake that he had hidden in the freezer (a story in and of itself). Upon arriving home, and visibly confused, Elisabeth found the cake that said "Forever and a Day" and Sam popped the question. Through laughter and tears, Elisabeth said yes!
